According to legend, George Washington, America's first president, chopped down a cherry tree in his youth.
The story goes that he was testing out his new hatchet and unknowingly chopped down his father's favorite new cherry tree.
When his father saw the damaged tree and asked his son if he knew who did the deed, George Washington replied "I cannot tell a lie, father, you know I cannot tell a lie! I did cut it with my hatchet".
The story continues, that the anger left his father's face and, he said: "My son, that you should not be afraid to tell the truth is more to me than a thousand trees…even if they had leaves of the purest gold".

For the next several weeks, we'll be experimenting with extending our shop hours Tuesday thru Friday until 6pm.

Our hours will be Monday 11 to 5pm, Tuesday thru Friday 11 to 6pm, Saturday 10 to 5pm and Sundays 1 to 4pm. Let us know if those changes would be helpful to you. Many thanks!
